Pressure washing relies on high-powered water pressure to remove dirt, grime, mold, and stains from surfaces. It is especially effective for hard, durable materials such as concrete, brick, stone, and some types of metal. Because of the force involved, pressure washing can quickly clean large areas, but it also carries a higher risk of surface damage if used incorrectly. Soft washing, on the other hand, uses low-pressure water combined with specialized cleaning solutions to break down organic growth like mold, algae, mildew, and bacteria. Instead of blasting contaminants away, soft washing treats them at the root, allowing them to be gently rinsed off. This method is ideal for more delicate surfaces such as roofs, vinyl siding, stucco, wood, and painted areas. Soft washing is generally safer for these materials and often provides longer-lasting results because it kills organisms rather than just removing surface buildup.
